The Legacy and Transition Councils meet next on December 2 & 3, 2026. The meetings will be held in the College office in Guelph.

The Councils meet regularly. A livestream is available for you to watch proceedings. Meetings are open to the public. If you plan to attend in-person, please contact Alice Couto, Executive Assistant, acouto@cvo.org. Meeting agendas are posted in advance; however, the agenda is subject to change.

Councils met in September 2026
The Legacy Council focused its discussion on the 2027 budget and antimicrobial stewardship in relation to the accreditation standards. The Transition Council continued work on the by-laws, official documents, and implementation of the College of Veterinary Professionals of Ontario. Replays are available.
September 23, 2026 Legacy Council Meeting
During the transition period, the Legacy Council continues to oversee the operations of the College and tends to matters under the Veterinarians Act.
