Legacy Council meets in December

The Legacy Council will be meeting for its Annual Council Meeting coming up in December.

The Councils meet regularly. A livestream is available for you to watch proceedings. Meetings are open to the public. If you plan to attend in-person, please contact Alice Couto, Executive Assistant, acouto@cvo.org. Meeting agendas are posted in advance; however, the agenda is subject to change.

Councils met in November 2025

The Legacy Council discussed next steps on antimicrobial stewardship, a work force data project and revisions to its policy statement on the facility director role. The Transition Council continued its work on the By-Laws for the College of Veterinary Professionals of Ontario. November 26, 2025 Legacy Council Meeting

During the transition period, the Legacy Council continues to oversee the operations of the College and tends to matters under the Veterinarians Act. The November meeting included updates on policy work.

The Transition Council continued its work on By-Laws with discussion on: Definitions and Interpretation, Council, Meetings, Committees, Member Information Provided to the College, Register, Professional Liability Insurance, and Fees. The Transition Council also approved the complete By-Laws for public consultation.
